I don't know what is. High strung 3.8L V6 in a barely capable chassis. Oh yeah and it runs low-10s.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I've said it before I'll say it again. I love the way they do things in Puerto Rico.

FWD is already something on the margins of whether it can be a muscle car. This being transverse, <8 cylinders, FWD, and not a mid or full-size platform is too many strikes: sports car, not muscle car.

I still like it, though.

Merriam-Webster says that a muscle car is ...any of a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving

I'm pretty sure 2007+ Monte Carlo SS is the closest thing we ever got to a FWD muscle car, 5.3L LS4 V8 good for 303hp to the front wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

If you want to go nostalgic there is the FWD 1970 Cadillac Eldorado(more of a land yacht than a muscle car) 8.2L V8 500CI 400hp and 550 lb-ft of torque.

A lot of passion for speed. I build pistons for a lot of their cars and they don't have any preconceived notions of engineering limits. That's why they were/are way faster with 4 cylinders and rotaries WAY before the rest of the world. When it breaks, they make it stronger and get out there again. Most guys look at the boost gauge and believe "x" lbs is some kind of non-breakable mechanical limit. These guys literally couldn't buy boost gauges that read high enough and tune by knock...running pressures that were double what people were running in the states at the time. 35lbs on a stock 4g63?...ok! Rods and pistons and torque the hell out of the head bolts at 45lbs?...ok! Billet cylinder head G54B's back in the 90's...ok! Keep cranking up the boost and it goes faster.

You can't deny that, an overpowered compact that don't do corners well but blasts the straight is, at least in spirit, a muscle car.

You gonna tell me a muscle car from the '60s with a high powered V8 and a locker diff didn't torque steer lol

But yes. Torque steer.

And I would Olds' Toronado over the El Dorado for nostalgic FWD Muscle

Kinja'd!!!

I don't mind those Monte Carlo's aesthetic wise. With all the crazy LS builds there has to be someone with a 1000hp FWD LS (I know I know the gearbox is the problem)....
